If you’re creating niche sites to generate revenue, you will run out of ideas – at least good ideas – at some point. If you want to find new niches, you will need a good source of hot niche news; and aggregate data might not be the best source of news. It might be if you’re only using search engine optimization, but if you receive traffic through any other traffic generation method, you may find that aggregate data doesn’t interface well with your efforts.

So what is the best source of hot niche news if you want to make money on the Internet? Interestingly enough, the best hot niche news generally comes from the source of niches themselves – human beings. That’s right: by interacting with other human beings and by paying close attention to the behavior of your fellow humans, you can spot winning niches all the time.

Where is a good place to do that? One good place to do that is on a forum, but not a marketing forum, unless you want to crack the Internet marketing niche, which is heavily saturated with experts. Instead, frequent forums that you enjoy reading. For instance, do you enjoy discussing history? Do you enjoy cooking? Do you enjoy watching movies and talking about the plots? So do many other people. Find them; and figure out what they feel like they’re all missing, collectively. And this is your best source of hot niche news if you want to make money on the Internet.

You’re identifying a pressing need – something that is just BEGGING to be solved. If you had done this five years ago for movies, you may have identified a system similar to Netflix or a website concept similar to Internet Movie Database. And if you had pioneered either, you might be doing what you love and earning millions in the process. Both of these niches were just aching to be created. But even if you don’t want to work on that scale – in the millions — you can always fill smaller niches by identifying these hot niche news sources and using them to create products.

Take, for instance, photo upload sites. There are huge sites like Photobucket and Community Web Photo; and they’ve filled an important niche. But you can actually do the same exact thing in smaller niches without producing it on such a scale. For instance, you could offer that service for free to everyone on your favorite cooking forum, so they can upload pictures of completed recipes. But again, you start with the hot niche news – which you find on forums – and then you use that to solve a problem.

So what do you actually need to do to be successful and make money on the Internet? Identify problems by interacting with the hot niche news broadcasters themselves – human beings. And then provide a solution for everything they broadcast.
